RE-RELASE OF “After You Get What You Want, YOU DON’T WANT IT”
If you look on your streaming services you’ll notice my entire album “Say Goodnight Gracey” is now gone. Small story - once upon a time I opted out of streaming before it was much of a thing. I believed whole heartedly in “no free labor,” (yes even music.) But then all streaming services did an odd backroom deal with music distributors and even the artists who opted out of streaming had their music forced onto these platforms.
What happened was, every artist who opted out, missed the chance to give the platforms the data about their albums. So, “Say Goodnight Gracey” was completely lost in the systems of algorithms and data and essentially didn’t exist. And it's gotten worse over time as technology changes.
Here is where you come in - after talking to an expert about how sad it makes me that my album is basically lost to the world, they recommended that my entire album be removed, I release each song one by one as a single, and then at the end release it once again as an album. This way the streaming platforms receive ALL my data and they receive it in multiples this time! So maybe, just maybe, my music will be discoverable to people!
So FOR FREE please help me! Today the first one is out, and I’ll announce each time a new single is released. It's really sad to see my full album gone., what will help me not be so heartbroken about having to remove my full album is if you would:
