My burlesque act dedicated to the history of jazz and burlesque and how they intertwine. This act embraces the slurred syncopated eroticism of jazz and the unashamed joy of burlesque.
History books don’t want you to know this, but it is impossible to separate the history of jazz, and therefore American music, from the artform of burlesque. They’ve done a good job of trying, because they wanted to take the sex, the vitality, the danger, the fun out of it. We want to put it back and I want to celebrate the untold history.
